Dean Bowen solo exhibition: "Dogs"

Dean Bowen returns to Galerie Miyawaki, Kyoto this December with an exhibition celebrating the Year of the Dog on the Chinese calendar and his 10th year as a solo exhibitor.
Having spent his childhood years running around with dogs in the bush, for Bowen the dog is a best friend. This cheerful and seasonal exhibition shows about 25 pieces depicting curious and humorous dogs selected from Bowen's dream tableaux.
Born in 1957 in Australia, Dean Bowen has been active worldwide, especially Australia and Japan. In 2005, his painting was selected and exhibited in the Hyogo International Painting Competition in Kobe in January, and in April had a solo exhibition entitled "Journey" at Galerie Miyawaki in celebration of the tenth anniversary of his debut in Japan. He lives and works in Melbourne.
