Ash Keating to conduct art residency program AIR 3331

Opening in June 2010, 3331 Arts Chiyoda is an arts space for the convergence of national and international artists and their works. For about one month in January and February, Australian artist Ash Keating, along with 8 other international guest artists, will conduct an AIR 3331 residency in which he will participate in making a work around the local electronic haven of Akihabara.
AIR 3331 is an international program for artists and curators. Taking 3331 Arts Chiyoda and the local area of Akihabara as its stage, this program offers opportunities for residence/production/exchange and exhibition. Public participation to produce a multitude of values is encouraged. The events and stimulus produced in this period will result in an exhibition opening from the 25 February.
Artists will also give presentations and workshops during the residency.
Ash Keating
Born in 1980, Ash Keating performs installations on the theme of social and environmental responsibility through production and participation. Along with being a recent participant in the 2010 Next Wave Festival, Ash has also made works in international sites such as Chile, South Korea, Indonesia.
