Dwayne Lawler's solo performance 'TOKYO VAMPIRE'
30 October 2005 - 25 December 2005
Australian actor Dwayne Lawler ("Macbeth" at the New National Theatre, Tokyo in 2004) will be performing his solo performance TOKYO VAMPIRE at the Studio Museum Tokyo from the 30th October to 25th December 2005.
TOKYO VAMPIRE, a heartbreaking horror story of a Vampire's last confession before he goes "into the sun" is set to strike fear, and a little empathy, into the hearts and souls of Japanese audiences. Using his 'chameleon approach', Lawler has created a production specifically for the Japanese environment. The Vampire's costume is emblazoned with his kamon, or family crest, and is also the centerpiece of the set. Combined with the heartbeat-like sound of a wadaiko (Japanese drum), TOKYO VAMPIRE promises to be a true assault to the senses.
