On Site Labo lecture series: Australia's Contemporary Music Scene - ELISION

Mr Daryl Buckley will provide an overview of Australia's innovative and contemporary music at the Tokyo Wonder Site, Shibuya on Sunday, 11th September starts from 7:30pm. Daryl will also talk about Australian musicians and composers who are actively working at the forefront of the music scene in Australia.

Together with The Australia Council for the Arts, Mr Daryl Buckley, an artistic director of Australia's leading contemporary music group, "ELISION Ensemble," will be presenting "The Current Trends in Australian Contemporary Music" at the "Tokyo Performing Arts Market 2005." Australia Council for the Arts is the Australian Government's arts funding and advisory body.

Daryl Buckley

Daryl Buckley is the artistic director of ELISION Ensemble, Australia's leading new music group. The ELISION ensemble has developed innovative international projects in contemporary opera, site-specific installation, improvisation and electronic music. Daryl has organised 16 international tours for the 21 member ensemble with highlights including performances at Saitama Arts Theatre, Hebbel Theater Berlin and Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, UK.
