Leonie Cohen Jazz Trio

Leonie Cohen (piano) will be performing a stunningly beautiful repertoire of standard jazz tunes and original compositions in Tokyo with her jazz trio on August 15th, 2005.

Leonie Cohen is one of Australia's foremost jazz pianists. In 1999 Leonie formed her own band "Leonie Cohen Plus" and released a CD "Jerusalem" commissioned by the ABC (Australian Broadcast Commisssion). She has performed extensively throughout Australia (Sydney Opera House, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival). Her overseas appearances include Singapore (Raffles theatre), Shanghai (Glamour room) and Hong Kong (Fringe Theatre).

Leonie will be touring Tokyo with bass player Hugh Fraser and drummer "Swannee", both of whom are currently playing in the musical "We Will Rock You".
