Introduction
Australia is excited to have a strong presence at the Setouchi International Art Festival, a wonderful initiative to make Japan's Inland Sea (the Setonaikai) the world's 'Sea of Hope'. Australian artists will be showing their works on three islands: Cameron Robbins, Sue Pedley and Claire Healy & Sean Cordeiro in the Kou Community of Teshima, Dadang Christanto on Shodoshima, and James Darling & Lesley Forwood on Ogijima.
Australia is a unique and distinctive country and we hope that the artists will make a special contribution to the Festival by making works that resonate with the Setouchi region. Please come to see the Australian works and share the Australian story on the islands of the Setouchi Sea.
